Lea uses
There are times where people ask me about what software or gear I am using.
This page will serve as a living document for people to always know the latest and greatest.
Hardware
Applications
Sketch
is one of my first design tools for XD and UI.
Figma
is now my primary and first choice UI and XD tool. The advantage of Figma over XD is that the drafts take place in the browser. XD uses its own renderer, which means there are differences to the browser.
Affinity Photo
Powerful photo editing software used by professionals worldwide.
Affinity Designer
Affinity Designer is a vector graphics editor. It's not bad but a little awkward.
Adobe XD
is a powerful and but not easy-to-use vector-based experience design platform. Most of my customers use it, but I still prefer Figma.
Adobe Photoshop
I know Photoshop now since the version 5. It is still a powerful photo editing software and most used at my customers.
Adobe Illustrator
is a vector graphics editor. It is powerful and reliable. For me, his greatest strength lies in creating icons.
Tools
Fork
Fork is free git client application for MacOs, Windows and Linux.
1Password
A password manager, digital vault, form filler and secure digital wallet. 1Password remembers all your passwords for you to help keep account information.
Discord
is my choice of instant messaging social platform.
Raycast
I've always been a huge Alfred fan and have many workflows but have recently switched over to Raycast which is even better!
Dropbox
is my cloud sync tool of choice. I tried other ones from Amazon and Microsoft, but the user experience on them were pretty bad. It support also restoring files I have accidentally deleted.
